Lifelong support for people with developmental disabilities

Developmental Services

Practical, respectful support that helps people with developmental disabilities live, work, and belong in their own community.

A good life is built from ordinary things. A morning routine that works. A job that fits. Friends who expect you on Tuesday. Our developmental services team exists to make those ordinary things possible, and to keep them possible as life changes.

We work for the person, not the paperwork. Support coordinators keep caseloads small so they actually know the people they serve. Families tell us the difference is simple: we answer the phone, and we follow through.

What to expect

  1. A conversation about your goals

A support coordinator meets you and your family, at home if you prefer. You talk about daily life, what is working, and what you want next.

  2. One coordinator, one plan

Your coordinator helps you build a person-centered plan and stays with you. They handle the paperwork, waiver applications, and referrals.

  3. Support that fits real life

Day support, skill building, employment help, respite for caregivers. Services flex as life changes, from school years through retirement.

  4. Regular check-ins

Your coordinator checks in at least monthly, and always after a big change. You can reach them directly, not through a call center.

How to start

Call (757) 555-0158 and ask for developmental services intake. If you have a recent evaluation or school records, have them handy, but do not wait on paperwork to call.

New diagnosis? Ask for our First Steps welcome packet. It walks through the first year in plain language.
